The Fall Striped Bass run showed no signs of slowing down as of this past weekend with huge schools of blitzing bass as far as you could see off Montauk Point. Most fish being in the 20-25″ class made for a blast on light tackle. Small epoxy jigs as well as diamond jigs seemed to be the hot bait. With plenty of fish still being caught in Rhode Island and Massachusetts these fish should stick around well past Thanksgiving. Black fishing remains very strong off of Fishers Island and Block Island and the cod and seabass bite is starting to turn on!!! Should be a productive Fall season here on Long Island.
